During the World Wetlands Day Latvian Nature Conservation Agency and Natural History Museum of Latvia organized a meeting that brought together various stakeholders related to wetland management and protection in Latvia.
At the end of 2011, Latvian Nature Conservation Agency has organized a seminary-workshop – „Green Volunteering in Latvia Matters”, which was held in the framework of the GRUNDTVIG multilateral Project „Volunteer management in European Parks”.
In the framework of the GRUNDTVIG Lifelong learning programme „Volunteer management in European Parks” in September 2011 Latvian Nature Conservation Agency welcomed a volunteer from Germany - Anna Brauer.
In September 2010 Latvian Nature Conservation Agency launched the European Social Fund project to raise knowledge and skills of staff in charge of Latvian national parks and reserves.
From the 2nd to 6th of May in Romania – Rodna Mountains National Park (Biosphere Reserve) a workshop for volunteer coordinators in protected areas was held.
Nature Conservation Agency has started to participate in the implementation of the project “Innovative approaches for marine biodiversity monitoring and assessment of conservation status of nature values in the Baltic Sea” (Project acronym -MARMONI).
Metsähallitus Natural Heritage Services and Latvian Nature Conservation Agency Enter into Cooperation
Protected area management agencies of Finland and Latvia signed on May 25, 2010 a Framework Agreement on cooperation.
