Invitation to participate in Creative Work Contest
 
The Nature Conservation Agency announces an international contest of creative works for schoolchildren from Latvia, Estonia and Russia within the frameworks of the project "People with nature" of Estonian-Latvian-Russian Transborder Cooperation Programme.
 
The aim of the contest is to promote international cooperation between schoolchildren from Estonia, Latvia and Russia in the field of environmental education and studies. Young people aged 14-17 are invited to send photographs, brochures or posters about a specially protected natural reservation in Latvia, Estonia or Russia by 1 March 2014. The contest will be concluded by the international exhibition of schoolchildren's creative works "People with nature" held in Pskov.
 
Creative works should be submitted to the regional coordinators of the contest coordinator in
  • Pskov Oblast by sending them by e-mail geniuscentr@mail.ru or mail to Pskov regional centre of development of talented children and youth, Russia, Pskov, Yana Fabritciusa Street- 24,
  • Latvia by e-mail to baiba.livina@daba.gov.lv or by mail to: Nature Conservation Agency, Baznīcas 7, Sigulda, LV-2150,
  • Estonia by e-mail to kersti.sogel@teec.ee or mail to Centre of ecological education, Kompanii 10, Tartu.

Estonia – Latvia – Russia cross border cooperation programme project „Promoting nature education as efficient mean of awareness raising” started on the 1st of April, 2012. The project will be implemented in the territories of Latvia, Estonia and Russian Federation. Its main aim is raising public environmental awareness for sustainable and integrated nature conservation in the region covered by the project activities, as well as improving capacity of participating institutions in the field of nature education.
