International Environmental Education Camp Has Started

 
From 22nd until 27th of July Gauja National Park Foundation in cooperation with the Nature Conservation Agency is organizing an international environmental camp for youth aged between 13 and 16. The camp is welcoming 32 young people from the Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
 
The aim of the camp is to increase international cooperation between Latvian, Estonian, Russian youth and the partners the project by raising young people's awareness of the nature values ​​and biodiversity, by introducing them with the specially protected nature territories in Latvia. Participants are going to play environmentally educating games, attend classes, go hiking and rafting, make a rock research and monitor sand martins as well as to get acquainted with the protected areas and culture of each country.
